Persistent currents in a strongly interacting multicomponent Bose gas on a ring

چکیده
We consider a two-component Bose–Bose mixture at infinitely strong repulsive interactions in tightly confining, one-dimensional ring trap and subjected to an artificial gauge field. By employing the Bethe Ansatz exact solution for many-body wavefunction, we obtain ground state energy persistent currents up four particles. For each value of applied flux, then determine symmetry under particles exchange. find that ground-state display reduced periodicity with respect case non-interacting particles, corresponding reaching states fractional angular momentum per particle. relate this effect change Our results generalize ones previously reported fermionic mixtures both attractive highlight role effect.

Weakly Interacting Bose Gas
We will look at the weakly interacting system at low temperatures. Already, without interactions, we have Bose condensation 〈 b+ 0 b0 〉 = N0 = N. (2) Interactions will reduce this, but if they are weak the depletion of the condensate will be a small fraction (N −N0)/N 1, or ∑ E k ′ 〈 bE k bE k 〉 N, (3) with ∑′ denoting the sum over all E k 6= 0. With the macroscopic occupation of the zero mode ...
متن کاملA pr 1 99 8 Plastic flow of persistent currents in two dimensional strongly interacting systems
The local persistent current in two dimensional strongly interacting systems is investigated. As the interaction strength is enhanced the current in the sample undergoes a transition from diffusive to ordered flow. The strong interacting flow has the characteristics of a plastic flow through dislocations in the pinned charge density wave which develops in the system at low densities. PACS numbe...

We show the emergence of a strongly interacting Bose-Fermi mixture from a two-component Fermi mixture with population imbalance. By analyzing in situ density profiles of 6Li atoms in the BCS-BEC crossover regime, we identify a critical interaction strength, beyond which all minority atoms pair up with majority atoms and form a Bose condensate. This is the regime where the system can be effectiv...
متن کاملMicroscopic dynamics in a strongly interacting Bose-Einstein condensate.
An initially stable 85Rb Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) was subjected to a carefully controlled magnetic field pulse near a Feshbach resonance. This pulse probed the strongly interacting regime for the BEC, with the diluteness parameter (na(3)) ranging from 0.01 to 0.5. Condensate number loss resulted from the pulse, and for triangular pulses shorter than 1 ms, decreasing the pulse length actua...
متن کاملInteracting Bose gas on the Lattice
A Lower bound for the density of a Bose gas in Z in the grand canonical ensemble is calculated for general dimension d, and for l(Z) potential interactions. The rigorous formalism of the measure on continuous time random walks, analogous to the Wiener measure, is briefly explained, along with justification of the Feynman-Kac formula using this. These are then used to bound the density, although...
